BOOK A CALL

Hi, I'm Alice Egan,

career leverage coach for Presales SCs and founder of SaaS Savvy.

I believe the SC role can be a launchpad - not a ladder to climb.

I teach Solutions Consultants how to go to market with themselves inside their company — by building technical fluency, Presales clout, and operator-level authority that makes them visible, credible, and hard to replace.

Because that’s how I built my own career — and it’s how the SCs I work with are doing the same in an AI-driven market.

Quietly doing great demos is no longer a Presales strategy.

For a long time, Presales rewarded a narrow set of behaviors: deliver strong demos, support your AE, stay in your lane, and wait for recognition.

That model worked when products changed slowly, teams were fully staffed, and career paths were predictable.

That’s no longer the market.

Today, Presales roles are being reshaped by AI, consolidation, and constant reorgs. Execution is expected. Job descriptions are fluid. And visibility — not tenure — determines who gets opportunities, influence, and security.

The SCs who thrive now are operating differently.

They actively shape their role. They build visibility with intent. And they treat their career like a go-to-market problem — not a ladder to climb.

This is the work I help SCs do: creating leverage that leads to new roles, new paths, and real optionality inside a changing market.

I'm Alice, your technical fluency professor and career leverage coach.

I teach Solutions Consultants how to go to market with themselves inside their company — by building technical fluency, Presales clout, and operator-level authority that makes them visible, credible, and hard to replace.

My Story

I’ve spent my entire career doing work I wasn’t “qualified” to do - and figuring it out anyway.

I started in customer support without knowing what Android was. I moved into Presales without fully understanding what Presales even meant. And within a few years, I was leading some of the most complex enterprise deals the company had — including top-tier accounts in San Francisco and the UK fintech market.

But what actually changed my career wasn’t just learning how to do the job. It was everything I did around the job.

I never waited for permission. When I didn’t understand something, I said so - and then I went and figured it out. I built internal resources to explain complex products, APIs, and platforms so other people could sell with confidence. I created programs that helped entire GTM teams understand the technical story behind what we were selling. I took on cross-functional projects between Presales and Professional Services to fix friction I could see but no one “owned.”

None of that was required. All of it created leverage.

Those projects made me visible to Presales leadership, Product, and executive teams. They led to deeper partnerships, faster promotions, alignment to the best territories, and eventually a role created specifically for the work I was already doing. I became known as someone who helped — and who could turn ambiguity into momentum.

That same pattern followed me outside the org.

I didn’t leave Presales to escape it. I left to build something - SaaS Savvy & the Trusted Advisor OS - from it. I went to market with my own point of view, built a brand on LinkedIn, created courses and programs, and founded SaaS Savvy to help other Solutions Consultants do the same — without pretending to be founders or abandoning their roles.

Today, I work with SCs who want more than execution excellence. I help them build technical fluency, Presales clout, and operator-level authority so they can create visibility, opportunity, and optionality - inside their company and beyond it.

This isn’t about hustle.

It’s about leverage.

It’s a skill you can learn - and a muscle you can flex.
